Leicester-born, London-based artist Shivani Day arrives with her debut single, a new one called “Rhetoric”.

Laying fresh roots into untouched soil, the tune was co-produced by Shivani and close collaborator Minas, who weave traditional South Asian musical forms into textured elements of electronica and R&B. The Erea Ferreiro – who has previously worked with the likes of Ojerime and Odeal – directed video has subtle nods to her heritage, from styling details to a mesmerising snake, which is an integral symbol in Indian mythology.
