Drug runner caught at Euston train station with £3,000 of heroin hidden inside his pants

Published date: January 14 2022

A drug runner was jailed for four years after he was caught with £3,000 worth of heroin in his underwear.

Gary Morrison, who in March was spotted wandering around Euston railway station looking confused, said he was “carrying it for someone else”.

The 24-year-old was stopped by police as he dashed to board a train who then found a small amount of cannabis in his underwear.

A more thorough search revealed a golf ball sized wrap of heroin in his pants, as well as £390.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and being in possession of Class B drugs and taken to police custody.

On his way to the station he told British Transport Police officers: “I was just holding it for someone else.”

Police said the street value of the 22-gram ball of heroin was £3,000.

Last Friday (January 7) Morrison, from Brixton Hill, appeared at Inner London Crown Court after he pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

He was handed a four year jail sentence and ordered him to pay a £190 victim surcharge.
